Mushing – 30 minutes - £33 per person (adults & children)

This takes place at the top of the El Tarter gondola. The 30 minute husky driving circuit gives the guests a chance to take control of their own pack of husky dogs and sledge. The trail leads into the forest of El Tarter, a short stop for a photo 1/2 way and for the dogs to rest and then back to base. Children can sit in the basket of the sledge if too small to control it (under 10). Over 10, in the basket they are charged normal price per person. Guests that ski to the dog area will be provided with soft boots for the activity. Guests staying in El Tarter can take the gondola up with the GV lift pass if they dont wish to take skis. Soldeu guests if they dont wish to ski can take local bus to El Tarter and access the gondola from there. Pas de la Casa guests can ski over for this activity. NON SKIERS who do not have a GV lift pass must purchase a walkers pass. This is €9 per day with 50% discount when showing an activity booking ticket.

Husky Seated Ride – 1.5km £36 per adult / £26 per child, 3km £56 per adult / £46 per child, 5km £76 per adult / £60 per child

The Activity centre is located in the Grau Roig sector of the Grandvalira station. Guests can ski to the activity if during ski hours or book and arrange a collection time from Pas de la Casa, Soldeu or El Tarter. The seated ride can seat two people (2adults or 2 children or 1ad+1ch) Child age is 3-8years. Under 3's are not permitted. The route takes you down into the Grau Roig valley and forest.

Skidoos (adults only) – 15 mins 1 rider £30 / 15 mins 2 riders £36, 30 mins 1 rider £50 / 30 mins 2 riders £56

The skidoos in Soldeu are located in the village at the Calbo Station activity area, the entrance to the village. The excursion is for 15 or 30 minutes and accompanied by a guide to lead the way. Prices shown are per person for single use or per bike for 2 people on 1 bike (Double). Guests booking a double can change drivers 1/2 way around.

Always buy your ski lift pass before you leave!

No it's not a sales ploy! You cannot buy them cheaper and some of them you can't even buy in resort! The learn to ski pack for instance which combines lift pass, lessons and equipement hire cannot be bought in resort and can save you a substancial amount. Why are ski passes so expensive?

The money raised from lift pass sales funds not only the modern fast mountain transit systems but also security, paramedics, piste management and a host of other necessary things behind the scenes.

The queues in Andorra are generally small and monies are ploughed every year into expanding the lift capacities as well as carving new pistes out of the mountain. This year for instance there are several new pistes in the Grandvalira area and a whole new dedicated "off piste" area with 3 off piste runs opening up a whole new mountainside!

The Andorran ski schools are well regulated and have won numerous awards. In most cases you will be taught by an instructor whose first language is English - none of this bend ze knees malarkey! Within a few days you will be confident and equipped with the skills to roam around the mountains.
